Mouse Ears Sold Separately

After a 3 mile run, I decided to get my craft on and make a Minnie Mouse headband to wear in Disneyland.

I noticed a lot of people like dressing as Minnie for the Disney races (and some non-Disney races). The beauty of doing this is you can make the bow and attach it to any headband you like wearing while you run, it doesn’t add bulk and you can make it a size that works for you (you could also add mouse ears) or adapt it for other characters like Daisy. In this case, I took a headband I found sitting in a drawer and hot glued on this fabric from Calico Corners (available at Joann’s, it’s a cotton fabric meant for quilting) onto the headband. Then, the bow can be sewn or hot glued depending on what you prefer/have access to.

Start out with these materials: Headband, 1/8 yard of fabric, and 1/8 yard interfacing (available by the yard from fabric stores for about $1-$2/yard. You probably won’t even need that much…) Total cost: about $5.00, though probably less. Time: About 30 minutes.
