A few of my favorite things: The Knock-Off Edition

Screen shot 2013-11-26 at 7.33.23 AMI came across another gift idea for your It’s a Small World fan. Crate and Barrel (let’s be totally honest here) kind of ripped off Mary Blaire and did a set of ornaments that look remarkably like something out of It’s a Small World. $29.95 for the set but wait til you get some kind of discount because we never pay retail for anything.

Also, if you haven’t been to a Target lately (um, yeah, right, who doesn’t go to Target at LEAST twice a month?) you should head into the seasonal section. First, they have ornaments that look just like the large Mickey ears that they sell in WDW but for less than 1/2 what they charge at WDW (available in Mickey and Minnie influenced styles).

If you’re on a budget or too lazy to carry your ornaments from your parents house to your apartment, you can use this year’s medal haul to decorate your tree!

Stick with me–Target always does a seasonal, limited edition Oreo. It’s some kind of Faustian bargain they worked out with Nabisco. I don’t question it, I just thank God every day it’s not with Wal Mart because otherwise I’d never see them. Anyway. Wondering what they taste like? Think Thin Mint. No, really, Thin Mints. These are basically Oreo versions of that delectable Girl Scout cookie, the Thin Mint, except you don’t spend 30 minutes rationalizing purchasing 10 boxes as a “charitable contribution” to the Girl Scouts to support the development and nurturing of female leaders as opposed to a charitable contribution to your thighs.
